Waveless

P1130457

In this ever-changing world it always fascinated me how a photo can arrest time, preserving anything from the most simple settings to the most complicated emotions; freezing impressions that even many years later can trigger the same response in us. A single frame can take us back in time, propel us into turmoil or bring us waveless serenity. When I took this picture I had no idea of the seething storm that would rage down on me only a few minutes later.

This post is in response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: Landscape.
